Over $110,000 in Scholarships Awarded to fifteen (15) New Jersey Student’s

New Brunswick, NJ – Over 380 Guests and Workers’ Compensation Industry Professionals from across New Jersey came together for a special celebration. On Thursday, July 28, 2016 Kids’ Chance of New Jersey presented over $110,000 in Scholarships to fifteen (15) of New Jersey’s own special children. Each of the scholarship recipients had a parent that was catastrophically or fatally injured in a work-related accident. The Fourth Annual Gala and Fundraiser was held this past summer at The Heldrich hotel in New Brunswick, NJ.

James Barnett, Brian Crosby, Andrew DiCarlo, Marissa DiCarlo, Nicolas Garcia, William Gardner, Mackenzie Kurnath, Scott Kwiatex, Corrine Levy, George Lockhart, Ashley McDuffie, Trent Schamble, Sara Schisler, Alexa Vander Ploeg, and Gandhi Vidas-Veliz.

Kids’ Chance of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization founded in 2012. They are omitted to providing educational scholarships throughout the year to the sons and daughters of New Jersey workers who have been catastrophically or fatally injured in a work-related accident, resulting in financial hardship. More than four million workplace injuries occur in the United States each year, with approximately one million of those resulting in a disabling injury and 5,000 resulting in death.
