Over $112,000 in Scholarships Awarded to 16 New Jersey Student’s

New Brunswick, NJ – On Thursday, July 13, 2017, over 390 Guests and Workers’ Compensation Industry Professionals from across New Jersey came together at the Kids’ Chance of New Jersey 5th Annual Fundraising Gala held at the Hilton in East Brunswick, NJ. Over $112,000 in Scholarships was awarded to sixteen students whose parents suffered a fatal or catastrophic injury in a work-related accident.

Founded in 2012, Kids’ Chance of New Jersey is a nonprofit 501(C)3 organization committed to providing educational scholarships to children of New Jersey workers whom have been fatally or catastrophically injured in a work-related accident, resulting in financial hardship. More than four million workplace injuries occur in the United States each year, with approximately one million of those resulting in a disabling injury and 5,000 resulting in death. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).
